She is a Fennec fox and a mum with four kits. Their names are Sly, Shy, Sneaky and Shyla. She thought they were the cutest kits in the entire forest. She was in her burrow with her kits putting them to sleep. Then she heard a crunching noise outside. So she went to see what was there. When she went outside, there was a big black and white badger! Sleepy decided to distract the big black and white badger.
Then she led it in the forest away from her kits. When she went to the forest the badger followed her she was scared but she was doing it for her lovely kits. So when she led it away she got really tired but she kept doing it for the sake of her kits. So she ran through the hole and took a nice path on her way home.
Then Sleepy saw a berry bush. When she got home her babies were walking around looking for their mum. She shared them out evenly so they all got the same amount. As they finished eating their berries they fell asleep again. Then she heard another strange noise. So she went outside to see what it was. And it was the badger again. When Stripes went home Sleepy went back to her babies.
They were still fast asleep. So Sleepy would lie down and closed her eyes. When she woke up her kits were not there so she went outside and called for them. So they all went back in the den. So when Stripes came over they had dinner together and they did everything together because they were best friends.
The kits loved Stripes just as much as Sleepy did they bounced all over her with such fun. So Sleepy had a new friends and her kits were happy so she was happy. So as you see Stripes and sleepy were now best friends.
